Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing reception services to the Calgary McKesson Canada building for all business units, which includes responding to all incoming main switchboard phone calls, processing mail, greeting and assisting visitors, maintaining office supplies and master building keys and other administrative tasks as assigned. This position also supports Customer Care with overflow calls and assists with administrative duties as assigned, including taking meeting minutes. The position reports to Team Coach, Support Services.

Position Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

•Greet and record all customers, visitors and contractors in visitors’ log.
•Communicate emergency evacuation procedures to all visitors.
•Answer incoming switchboard calls and direct to the appropriate person or department.
•Maintain stationary supplies and building keys for all business units.
•Process incoming and outgoing mail and parcels for couriers and Canada Post.
•Log customer checks received in mail.
•Maintain main telephone number voicemail and greeting messages.
•Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Role Qualifications:

•A minimum of one year previous receptionist or office administration experience- experience with Mitel multi-line switchboard is an asset.
•High school diploma
•Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems, MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
•Polished, professional phone demeanor
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong administrative and organizational skills.
•Flexibility, good judgment and initiative.
•Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail.
•Must be able to work independently
