| Senior Superintendent Toronto Community Housing is committed to providing safe, healthy, and clean homes for our tenants. We are seeking Senior Superintendents who will be responsible for the effective operations of a cluster of units within a diverse social housing portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: customer service, cleaning and maintenance, semi skilled repairs, health and safety, life safety, adherence to Codes, bylaws and legislation and other administrative duties related to residential buildings and townhomes. You will work closely with a team of cleaning and maintenance staff to provide a clean and respectful environment for our tenants through excellent customer service and a high level of maintenance and upkeep. You will actively support, promote and implement TCHC’s Community Management Plan (CMP) initiatives and TCHC policies and procedures. You will provide work direction, training, support, coaching and mentoring to building staff as required. Are you seeking an opportunity where you can contribute your skills, experience and knowledge to provide quality service and housing to a diverse tenant population? Do you have strong experience in semi-skilled repairs, maintenance and upkeep of building equipment and fixtures, including cleaning and janitorial experience? Are you experienced in preventative maintenance, life & fire safety and do you have a thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical building systems and applicable codes and legislation related to residential buildings and townhomes? Do you have experience utilizing a variety of mobile, computing and communication devices? Are you able to provide work direction to others and to organize, monitor and supervise work and work schedules? Can you communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing? Do you have excellent customer service skills and the ability to organize, lead and maintain the effective operations of properties? Are you interested in using your skills, knowledge and experience in a way that positively impacts the community? If you answered “yes” to these questions, then this is the opportunity you have been looking for as you have what it takes to lead staff teams engaged in residential building and townhome maintenance. This position may require the ability to travel within a specified geographic area on a daily basis.
