| Corporate Accountant Our client, a international transportation and shipping company is seeking a Corporate Accountant to be a key member of the corporate accounting team, You must thrive is a team environment and have a strong knowledge of GAAP and reporting requirements to accomplish professional and complex accounting work. The Corporate Accountant plans and administers a variety of accounting functions such as maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements and analyzing financial statements. Responsibilities: - Analyse General & Administrative expenses and prepare monthly G&A statements; - Prepare and coordinate annual G&A budgets; - Conduct general ledger account reconciliation and analyses; - Assist with maintaining first class internal controls; - Assist with preparation for year end audit; - Work with auditors during year end audit; - Other special projects as required. Requirements: - 4th or 5th year CGA; - 3 or more years accounting experience. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities; - Knowledge of SAP, Great Plains, Navision or Epicor is an asset; - Ability to multi-task and solve issues; - Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with little oversight; - Excellent analytical skills; - Excellent Excel computer skills; - Excellent English communication skills; - Knowledge of accounting practices and accounting systems.
