Finance Manager Reports to: GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR Primary Objective : a) To oversee the financial management of business b) To prepare on a timely basis as laid out by the Group Finance Director all monthly management accounting information including detailed Profit and Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets c) To prepare consolidated Financial Statements as required c) To maintain control over all cash flows and banking requirements working closely with the Group Finance Director to maintain excellent banking relationships, ensure that the business remains within its banking covenants. d) To carry out projects and to contribute to any aspect of the business that a Financial Manager would expect to be involved in by stint of their job title. e) To maintain and develop best practice financial controls over the Canadian businesses. g) To take responsibility for all aspects of all Canadian company statutory audits h) To ensure that all Regional Company Secretarial duties are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner i) To support the General Manager in all aspects of managing the Business providing commercial and financial advise and assistance in an energetic and diligent manner Qualifications and experience required  A recognised Accountancy qualification or one through evidenced experience  Recent experience in preparing statutory accounts  Good knowledge of consolidations  Ability to manage a small accounts department  Commercial mindset and somebody who has worked closely with other business functions  Written and spoken English Personal characteristics  Ability to be hands on  Detail oriented  Patient  Non confrontational and sensitive to other business functions requirements  Good judge of character with the personal strength to firstly control and guide.  Must be very inquisitive  Have the capacity to stand their ground in a reasoned and objective manner  Willingness to travel within Canada
