Customer Care Specialist

Position Summary
Customer Care Specialists provide courteous, quality service to our business customers, retail pharmacies located throughout western Canada. As a Customer Care Specialist, you are the first point of contact for our customers and play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience with McKesson Canada. You will be responsible for building rapport and assisting our customers with their product orders, answering their questions and providing prompt resolution to any potential concerns.

Position Requirements

Technical Knowledge & Experience:
•A minimum of one year of customer service experience - call centre experience is a definite asset
•Exceptional telephone etiquette coupled with active listening skills
•Fluent in the English language –oral and written
•Ability to present a professional, enthusiastic attitude through effective communication to promote a positive impression of the company to both customers and other employees
•Proficient computer navigation and keyboarding skills (minimum of 40 w.p.m.) - applicants may be required to complete and pass a data entry test to determine typing speed and accuracy
•Experience with Lotus Notes and IBM’s AS/400 is an asset but we will train the right candidate
•Vehicle is an asset as bus schedule is not frequent in area- assigned parking available
•Must be available to attend two weeks of paid training Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. commencing August 25, 2008.

•Demonstrated ability to represent the company in a professional manner
•Ability to solve problems and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner
•Sound decision-making skills and ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks
•Demonstrated reliability in punctuality and attendance
Hours of Work:
•Part- time applicants will be scheduled 4- 6 hours per day or evening
•Full- time applicants will be scheduled from Sunday- Thursdays or Monday- Fridays for afternoon shifts
•No rotating shifts- same scheduled days off each week –Fridays and Saturdays for a Sunday- Thursday shift or Saturdays and Sundays off for a Monday- Friday shift
