Jr Service Tech BGC is looking for a Junior Service Technician to start ASAP We need an honest, friendly, hardworking attitude; the rest will be taught on-site. Duties: • maintain equipment and tools in the shop and on-site around Alberta and Sask • general mechanical work including changing defective parts • perform scheduled maintenance work and maintain service logs • answer service calls and resolve issues via telephone • manage and track expenses and receipts • manage parts ordering and delivery for shop • maintain vehicle and shop cleanliness • other duties as assigned by shop team Person MUST: • have common sense and attention to detail • be able to problem solve and make decisions on the spot • the ability to read, write and communicate verbally • a valid drivers license with a clean record • the ability to travel to remote locations, 6-12 days/nights per month, potentially on short-notice • the ability to work under shop and field conditions; may include working under pressure, noisy, dusty, hot or cold environments • the ability to lift 15-20 lbs on a daily basis • a great personality and a strong desire to listen and learn on the job Benefits and Pay Company paid benefits: medical, dental, bonuses and a company vehicle while on service calls. All travel expenses are paid by BGC. It is an hourly-paid, full-time position and pays a starting wage of $16 to $18.50 per hour based on skills, experience and attitude. Regular performance reviews, bonuses and annual salary reviews complete the benefits.
