| Account Director - Advertising Our client a mid-sized marketing creative services firm serving residential and resort real estate developers in Canada, the US and internationally is seeking a talented Account Director to supervise the client services function on all accounts, and to support the growth of this 10 person department! In this role you will assist the senior team with all current projects and facilitate and support the growth of the agency. You will have a passion for resort or real estate development and will have a proven track record presenting creative concepts in a very compelling way in order to establish and develop new business. You must feel very comfortable leading planning sessions and project management will be your strength as you liaise between clients and creative staff. You will be a natural leader and you will enjoy helping others succeed. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years experience at the mid-level in a client service or account director’s role within an advertising agency or graphic design firm, ideally with a specific focus on the sales and marketing of real estate. • You are a strategic thinker able to present creative concepts in a very compelling way and you are able to simultaneously work on multiple projects at any given time. • A team player and motivator as you will be responsible for leading the account managers and training junior staff on client service/budget management and strategic thinking. • Strong problem-solver who is able to identify issues and develop action plans to resolve them. • You are a fast thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit as the company is in a rapid growth mode and requires someone who can think for themselves and help to create process and develop procedures. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory as the role requires that you write proposals and prepare new business development documents. • You love to work to deadlines and are prepared to “roll up your sleeves” in order to get the job done! • There are 2 offices located in the Vancouver area so a vehicle is required as you will be managing a team located at both sites. Responsibilities: • Establish and manage a new business development plan • Oversee budget management • Lead seminars • Monitor timelines and project progress • Negotiate fees and ensure collection of accounts • Consult with senior staff as required Additional Comments: Salary will be commensurate with experience.
