The Opportunity Innovate – Create- Collaborate – Grow We are looking for a QA Engineer with a passion for quality to join our world class team of QA engineers. At Q1 Labs, we take quality assurance seriously. We are Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 3+ Certified. Our software development, quality assurance and customer support teams work very closely together to ensure our clients receive the most complete and effective network security intelligence solutions in the world. Our QA team is involved from the requirements stage right through to implementation, maintenance and support. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your QA career in a highly technical environment. There are very few QA opportunities in the industry with the level of complexity and technical challenge experienced by our QA Engineers. You will touch all aspects of our software and hardware products and you will participate in the complete life cycle of product development. You will work with functional specs, design specs, log analysis, user interface, a huge and complex database, memory, hardware, device and software configuration, test plans, test cases, etc. Our software is processing billions of pieces of information per day and we are leveraging the Java platform to perform and scale in unique and exciting ways! The Requirements You have a passion for quality and you take pride in your work. You keep the customer in mind in all that you do, and are known for your strong eye for detail, your motivation and your initiative. You have a background as a QA engineer, technical support rep or system administrator and a reputation for excellence. You have solid experience using scripting languages (i.e. Perl) for automating tasks. A solid working knowledge of Linux is a must. Database experience (SQL, MySQL, PSQL, or Oracle) is a definite asset, as is experience with PHP or Javascript.
