| Developer for TELETOON! DEVELOPER Reports To: Technical Manager, TELETOON Interactive Address: Brookfield 181 Bay Street, P.O. Box 787 Toronto, ON M5J 2T3 Job Description: Do you have a passion for programming and developing online content? Do you enjoy poring over commented code and discovering bugs? Are you a champion of automation? Do you thrive in a highly dynamic and changing production environment? Can you jump from game programming to XML file building in a single bound? Are you comfortable brainstorming and pitching content ideas in a group? Do you cheer for Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius? Can you do an uncanny impression of Bender? Do you relax by playing games online? If the answer is yes to these questions, we want to talk to you! Responsibilities: • Work with interactive team to develop new game engines, following TELETOON’s general game development guidelines. Iterate game titles from game engines. • Research, advise and recommend technical solutions for all online media initiatives, where required. • Develop, deploy and test efficient site content programming while providing meticulous code commentary, and technical documentation where required. • Lead the technical development and implementation of Sales Promotions contest micro-sites, features and reporting systems. • Meet all deadlines and work back schedules for sales promotions. • Work with interactive team to design and develop strategies for building sales promotions and marketing user activities with a focus on templates approach, re-using components and standardizing applications. • Work with 3rd party content developers to deliver and integrate content into the teletoon.com site • Design, develop, and deploy XML and database schema to power TELETOON related web sites as efficiently as possible while maintaining database content to ensure best use of server resources. • Work with Communications and Sales Promotions on TELETOON social networking site profiles w/ new content links that help drive traffic back to main sites • Assist, where required, with the technical development of new and updated site applications/features. • Develop and assist in the development, quality assurance (QA) and deployment of web-based applications for TELETOON related web sites . • Assist in running ad serving software to ensure accurate, timely and technically sound site ad placements and statistics generation for both internal and external clients. • Assist, where required, with ongoing site maintenance tasks. • Other duties as required. Please be prepared to submit code samples and other examples of portfolio work.
